ALVEA scarves are made from 100% silk woven in Como, in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Como has been Italy's silk capital since the 15th century and is widely considered one of the finest silk-producing regions in the world. The mills here supply luxury fashion houses across Europe, known for their exceptional dyeing techniques, vibrant color depth, and the quality of the weave. When you feel the difference in a Como silk scarf, that's centuries of craft behind it.

How to care for your scarf

• Handle with clean hands. Perfume, oils, and lotions can stain silk permanently. Put your scarf on after you've applied them, not before.

• Hand wash with care. If washing, use cold water and a gentle detergent designed for delicate fabrics. Never wring or twist. Press the scarf gently between two clean towels to remove water, then lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.

• Or dry clean. For the safest result, dry cleaning is always the better option.

• Iron gently. If the scarf needs pressing, iron on the lowest setting while slightly damp, inside out. Never iron directly on the silk surface.

• Store it right. Fold loosely and keep in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Prolonged sun exposure can fade the color over time.

• Avoid rough surfaces. Silk can snag easily. Keep it away from jewelry or anything with sharp edges when wearing or storing.
